"Just a note to say how much I enjoyed the Evening with Eight featuring
Rafaldini Vineyards. The food was marvelous and the company was even
better. Our table had a great mix of folks from all walks of life. This
obviously led to some lively and interesting conversation. I even met a
newly transplanted couple from Boston and they are now going to join us
for other events.
As my friend and I told others about our experience, they have become
interested in participating in future Evening with Eight events. We'll be
on the lookout for your next dinner event!"
Dawna "Remember the feeling you had when you walked in your door thinking to yourself, 'Wow, what a great evening! I had know idea he was working with that company' or 'I am so glad that I was able to be on time to enjoy the mingling and the great ideas that I can put into action at my own company!' Well, that's what happens when you participate with An Evening With 8 Plus Smitty. The ambiance, the food, the conversation and the speaker, whoever may be enriching us with another serving of thoughts and ideas is Oprah sometimes calls it, a great place for an "A-Ha" moment or three! Gillean "One of the DON'T MISS social events in Winston Salem. A great opportunity to develop new friendship's and experience culinary excellence."
We had such a great time at your last event. We met friends who
continue to be part of our social circle and had an unbelievable meal
paired perfectly with exquisite wines. We also learned a few things along
the way.
Steve Evening with 8 has been fun, interesting and informative for me. I've made some great new connections with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds, and thoroughly enjoyed hearing from fascinating community leaders in an intimate, informal setting. Cheryl The “Evening with 8 – Plus Smitty! has been a wonderful experience for me each time I have participated. The opportunity to meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere is enhanced with the delicious meals and enlightened speakers. And as always, Jeff is a gracious host! Claudia Evening with Eight is one great experience and a brilliant idea!!! I can't remember the last time I felt connected and comfortable to have random conversation with completed strangers- It was amazing. Thank you!!! Thank you!! Bemnet I was thrilled when Jeff asked me to be a featured speaker for the Evening with 8 – Plus Smitty! Series – it made me feel like I was a local celebrity!! Moreover, I met some incredibly interesting people at the dinner, and it was a great personal and professional networking opportunity. I loved the opportunity to speak about myself and my work, and to spread the news about what we’re doing in the arts world. The conversations are wonderful, Smitty is a congenial and intriguing host, and the dinner is fantastic – not to mention that it’s a great way to find out more about what’s going on with people you may never have met otherwise in Winston-Salem Dr. Margaret S. I was at first hesitant to sign up for Smitty's Evening with 8, but immediately felt right at home with the other guests. Conversation and fellowship flowed as freely as the wine. I still run into the acquaintances made that evening from time to time, and enjoy our social chats. I would attend again Sabrina Being new to Winston-Salem, I was excited by all of the events that Smitty took the time to detail in his newsletter. I was especially intrigued when he announced he was starting a new group dining experience. I scrambled to get myself signed up for the inaugural session. The evening started out with some gentle mingling until all of the participants arrived and quickly moved into the dinner portion of the evening. The few people at my end of the table got involved in some lively discussion and some serious eating. As the evening drew to a close, it was obvious that some of us were going to try and stay in touch. I met some great people (Jeff is one of them) who I still see around town and get in touch with occasionally. The dinner showed me that there is quite a bit going on in town and that making new friends over dinner is a great way to make connections. The biggest impact that Evening with Eight - Plus Smitty! has had on my life (and Smitty SWEARS that I am the anomaly) is that I met a wonderful woman who is now my wife! Roger Just wanted to let you know how enjoyable the "Evening With Eight" program has been for me. It is an excellent way to learn more about the important issues facing Winston-Salem, and the greater community, and also to connect with many interesting and fun people in our city. I urge everyone, whether a long-time resident or newcomers, to participate in this exciting and thought provoking program. John They have been the best means available in Winston
to meet people my age, and find out how I can become more active within
the community. I've been several times, and will probably be several more! Scott
I always come away feeling I've learned something about Winston-Salem and the people that live here. At the very least, you can always bet the Smitty's Evening With Eight will provide a great meal with great company. Can't ask for more than that! David
